FED no longer offers dyno or Spintron testing to the public.

You must check pushrod length with a checker on every set of heads with your desired lifter to insure proper pushrod length.

Depending on the thickness the deck starts at it could be up to .150 but in most cases .050.

We recommend Cometic or Felpro for all your gasket needs.

This is a conical cut in the combustion chamber that has a certain angle applied from the edge of the bore to the center of the cylinder. This prevents fuel from being trapped in the quench area and slows the burn to allow for a wider tuning window and serves to prevent detonation.

Yes, we can angle mill your heads, but this will also require the head bolt hole to be corrected and the intake flange to be corrected.

We sure do, we do a lot of high-end custom work for very specific classes with very particular rules.

We recommend a minimum of .080 intake and .120 exhaust but if you’re a professional engine builder you can run them to your desired comfort level.

This depends on the spring kit. Most of our hydraulic kits are good to .680lift and our solid roller standard kits work to .900 lift. We can also spec custom kits to meet any needs necessary.

We spec custom cams for most of our builds, or you can call Steven at Cammotion for advice.

We sell lots of custom cams to suit all your needs.

Lash can be checked hot or cold and the numbers will vary. You need to check what the lash recommendation is for your cam. Then you’ll check lash when the cam is on the base circle, you’ll check the Intake lash when the Exhaust valve is just opening in the cycle. Then you’ll check the exhaust lash when the Intake valve is closing.

This is a question for your tuner, engine builder, etc.

LLSR stands for Low Lash Solid Roller. This just means the lash required to use this setup is very minimum and allows for minimum valvetrain adjustment.

We build prototypes and then we test them on the engine dyno. After we get the results we’re seeking we’ll give the products to other shops to do real-world track testing. We also use CFD software to help us design the best product possible.

These are a proprietary casting that we spent two years designing and manufacturing. They are 100% American made and cast in Detroit. These are the ultimate LS style heads in the world right now. No LS head compares to the features and performance of the F-series.

We serial number everything we do, so all you need to do is provide us with that number and we can give you all the production details.
